Last updated: 4 November 2026

1. The contracting business

Wisman Renovation is operated by 17652461 Canada Inc., an Ontario-based renovation and property development business. Business Number: 707706362. Business contact address: Suite 1400, 90 Burnhamthorpe Rd W, Mississauga, ON L5B 3C3, Canada. Telephone: (226) 220-6455. Email: johnathan@wismanrenovation.com. These terms use “Wisman,” “we” and “us” to refer to the legal contracting company.

2. Website use and inquiries

This website describes services you can inquire about. Use it lawfully and provide information you are entitled to share. An inquiry, telephone conversation or visit to this website does not by itself create a project contract, reserve a start date or authorize a payment. Illustrations and material studies are design inspiration rather than records of completed projects.

3. Quotations and accepted agreements

The written quotation or project agreement identifies the proposed work, contracting parties, property, specifications, exclusions, price and acceptance requirements. A project proceeds under the accepted written agreement and applicable law. Ask for clarification before accepting anything you do not understand. Keep a copy of the quotation, agreement and subsequent changes.

4. Scope, materials and specifications

Only the work and supply obligations included in the accepted agreement form the agreed scope. The agreement should identify material and fixture selections, allowances if any, responsibility for procurement, and relevant exclusions. Proposed substitutions or changes to agreed specifications must be documented and accepted before they are used. Material availability, samples and manufacturer information should be considered when making selections.

5. Pricing, invoices and payment

Prices and invoices are in Canadian dollars unless a written agreement expressly states otherwise. The quotation and invoice explain applicable taxes and whether a stated amount includes them. Deposits, progress payments and the final balance follow the accepted agreement and genuine issued invoices, subject to applicable law. Statutory holdback, proper-invoice, prompt-payment and related requirements apply where the Ontario Construction Act requires them. Website wording does not replace those requirements.

6. Written changes

Additional work, altered specifications and related price or scheduling changes must be set out in a written change and agreed before that additional work proceeds, subject to applicable law. An unforeseen condition should be raised with the customer so the necessary scope and next steps can be addressed. Consumer protections governing estimates and agreed price changes continue to apply; a general statement about variable pricing does not authorize unexpected charges.

7. Access and customer responsibilities

The agreement identifies access arrangements, working areas, customer selections, utilities and any preparation or protection responsibilities. Tell us about known property restrictions, hazards, building or condominium rules, occupancy needs and access limitations. Customers must have the authority and permissions needed for the proposed work. Changes affecting safe access or the agreed conditions should be communicated promptly.

8. Scheduling, permits and professional responsibilities

Project timing is established for the particular scope. Access, site conditions, permits, inspections, material lead times, weather and accepted changes may affect sequencing. Relevant effects and revised arrangements should be communicated and documented. Permit applications, approvals, inspections, design, engineering and regulated-trade responsibilities must be allocated in the project agreement. Work requiring authorization must not proceed without the required authorization. Naming a provider in an agreement does not transfer that provider’s professional licence to Wisman.

9. Subcontractors and project coordination

The agreement identifies relevant delivery and coordination responsibilities, including any subcontracted work and qualified professional or trade services required for the scope. Architectural, engineering and regulated-trade services must be provided under the qualifications and authorizations applicable to that work. No unlisted credential or professional service is created by these website terms.

10. Completion, concerns and warranties

The agreed scope, inspections where applicable and documented completion arrangements guide the completion discussion. Raise concerns with the project reference, a clear description and appropriate supporting information. Any express workmanship warranty, including coverage, duration, exclusions and claim process, must be stated in the accepted agreement. Manufacturer warranties are separate and follow their own terms. These terms do not create an unstated warranty period or remove statutory rights relating to service quality.

11. Cancellations, complaints and disputes

The Shipping & Refund Policy explains how to request a cancellation or refund. For an invoice issue, workmanship concern or complaint, email johnathan@wismanrenovation.com with the project reference and the resolution you are seeking. The circumstances and relevant records can then be considered. You retain the right to use available legal remedies, statutory adjudication where applicable, and appropriate consumer or regulatory complaint processes. These terms do not require private arbitration as a condition of exercising a mandatory right.

12. Project agreements and governing law

An accepted project agreement sets the project-specific commercial arrangements. These website terms provide general information and do not unilaterally amend an existing agreement. Applicable mandatory law takes priority over inconsistent wording in either document. Ontario law and the applicable federal laws of Canada govern these terms, while preserving mandatory consumer protections and any jurisdiction or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Changes to website policies apply prospectively and do not by themselves change an accepted project contract.
